Using other caching plugins with Velumi Cache

Dennis Andersson – October 12, 2021

If you use plugins or themes for eg file minification and merging, LazyLoad, CDN, cache preloading and database optimization. But you want Velumi Cache activated (Recommended), here is a guide on how to make it work with the most common add-ons and themes.

WP-Rocket (plugin)

WP-Rocket has its own plugin for disabling page cache but which ensures that the rest works well together with a server cache solution such as Velumi Cache.

The plugin can be downloaded here: https://docs.wp-rocket.me/article/61-disable-page-caching

Elementor (page builder)

Elementor generates CSS files when making changes to the site and sometimes there is a mismatch between the generated css and the one that is cached. In case of problems, you can try to perform these two steps

  1. Go to Elementor > Tools > Regenerate CSS and click the Regenerate Files button.
  2. Update your page. You may need to make a small change to enable the Update button.

Divi (Theme and page builder)

The recommended setting for Divi is to turn of Static CSS File Cache. Follow these steps to Clear the Divi Cache:

  1. Navigate to Divi Theme Options from the WP Admin menu
  2. Then go to the Builder Tab, then the Advanced sub-tab.
  3. Click the ‘Clear Cache’ button next to Static CSS File Generation
  4. Clear Velumi Cache
